HTML → Gravity Forms Converter

Turn any HTML form into a native Gravity Form. Paste your markup, download the import file, done — no plugin, no rebuild.

Rebuilding an existing form by hand in Gravity Forms is exactly the busywork nobody wants — and until now there was no way around it: Gravity Forms can't read an HTML form, so people are told to recreate every field manually. This free converter reads your form markup and maps each control to its native Gravity Forms field — text, email, phone, number, textarea, dropdowns, radio groups, checkbox groups, dates, file uploads — with labels, required flags and choices carried over. Paste your HTML, download the import file, and load it under Forms → Import/Export → Import Forms. No plugin, no account — the conversion runs entirely in your browser.

  1. 1

    Copy your HTML form

Grab the markup — from a static site, a design export, an old theme, an email tool, anywhere you have a <form>.

  2. 2

    Convert here

Paste it below and hit Convert. Anything Gravity Forms can't represent (captcha, custom validation) is listed under the output.

  3. 3

    Import into Gravity Forms

Download the .json, then in WordPress: Forms → Import/Export → Import Forms → upload → your form arrives with all its fields.

🔒 Runs entirely in your browser — your pasted content is never uploaded to a server.

HTML Input

Paste any HTML — a full page, a section, an email fragment, or AI-generated markup.

The output is a Gravity Forms import file. In WordPress go to Forms → Import/Export → Import Forms, upload the downloaded .json, and your fields land as a native Gravity Form — ready to edit.

Heads-up: only the form structure converts — field validation rules, notifications/emails, and any JavaScript behaviour aren't part of an HTML form, so set those up in Gravity Forms after importing.

FAQ

Good to know.

Is this really free?

Yes — the HTML→Gravity Forms converter is completely free and runs entirely in your browser. Your form markup is never uploaded to a server.

What HTML can I paste in?

Any <form> markup: inputs (text, email, tel, number, url, date, file, hidden), textareas, selects, radio and checkbox groups, and fieldsets. Labels are matched to their fields automatically.

What gets converted?

Each form control becomes its native Gravity Forms field, with the label, required flag, placeholder and choices (for dropdowns/radios/checkboxes) carried over. Fieldsets become section breaks.

What can't be converted?

Things that aren't part of an HTML form: field validation rules, notification/confirmation emails, and JavaScript behaviour. Password/captcha fields have no Gravity Forms equivalent and are skipped — everything skipped is listed in the conversion notes so nothing disappears silently.

Do I need a plugin?

No extra plugin — you just need Gravity Forms itself (it has a built-in Import Forms screen). The converter output is a standard Gravity Forms import file.

I'm starting from a design, not existing HTML.
